I love K-pop culture here in the U.S. My co-worker is Korean and she suggests which dramas, movies, music, etc. to watch and listen to since I'm so addicted to them. LOL. (with English subtitle of course). I'm planning to visit Korea with my husband for our yearly vacation trip and learning Korean as we speak. Korean language is so fascinating. Don't even let me start on Korean food. Beautiful and tasty. I don't understand about this Anti-Korean sentiments because other Asians at work seems to love anything Korea too. Kam Sa Hap Ni Da!

TV 3 is airing Korean series in Thailand, forgetting one real taste. A recent survey revealed that this channel has lost large viewers, without giving reasons why. Another channel, which once promoted Korean movies, is airing a Chinese TV series, to scoop Chinese movie addicts. Now there are largest complaints and protests from chinese movie addicts on websites. They form Korean hating waves. Korean movies are very simple. Their men are not so good looking as Chinese and Japanese. This is another real aspect for Korean Wave. I don't know any Korean stars. Citing Korean stars leads to a question "Who is he/she?" always. I did not watch "Dae Jung Gum", which boasts to be the most popular, against the real feeling of TV fans. To be on air on TV does not mean large people are watching them, and this is particulary for Korean series.

Korean drama have not been true demands in Thailand. TV just tried to offer a new tihng, but failed. People still addicted to Chinese movies. My family knows no Korean names. These chinese movies addicts are a largest group. So there a korean hating wave as Japanese once critized. It is a wave, comes and goes, not like Chinese movie stones.
