My Lovely Sam Soon Synopsis

January 7, 2006

Episode 3

Jin-hun asks Sam-soon to pretend to go out with him to deceive his mother. Sam-soon’s big sister, Yi-young, returns home, divorced. Sam-soon’s friend Chae-ri comes to Jin-hun’s restaurant to plan her engagement party, and it turns out her fiance is Hyun-woo, Sam-soon’s ex-boyfriend.

Episode 4

Jin-hun’s ex-girlfriend, Hee-jin, walks into the restaurant when Sam-soon is alone. Jin-hun goes berserk at the mention of Hee-jin’s name, but later apologizes to Sam-soon with flowers. Hee-jin and Jin-hun finally meet, but Hee-jin finds Jin-hun is still furious with her.

Episode 5

Sam-soon takes a drunken Jin-hun back to his apartment where she is “trapped” until the next morning. Hee-jin walks in on them the next morning. Yi-young goes to Jin-hun’s restaurant to find out where Sam-soon has been the night before and gets into an argument with Hyun-moo, the executive chef.

Korean Fever Still Making Waves

THREE years after the Korean fever started spreading, it is still showing no sign of abating.

Just when we were about to chuck out our Winter Sonata VCDs and take a breather from the drama craze that swept Asia as early as 2003, Jewel In The Palace came along last year and turned us into TV addicts again.

Then, there was this curious phenomenon called Rain, who, despite bringing a downpour wherever he goes, still charmed a legion of screaming women both young and old.

K-pop fans in Singapore had it good.

We got to ogle Korean hunks all year round, from Won Bin in January to Jang Dong Gun early this month, as well as Lee Byung Hun and Kim Jae Won in February and Lee Dong Gun in July.

At movie premieres and film festivals, Korean beauties such as Lee Young Ae, Kim Hee Seon, Son Ye Jin and Kim So Yeon and hunks like Bae Yong Joon and Ji Jin Hee have also made their presence felt.

Actress Kim Sun-a in Top 10 List of Korea’s Top Woman Newsmaker

Kim Sun Ah is rated at 6th position in the list of top 10 women of the year in a survey organized by the weekly newspaper Woman Times.

The newspaper released the results of the survey, which asked 725 female members of the Internet job site Joblink (www.joblink.co.kr) to select 10 newsworthy women out of a pool of 22.

It said that Actress Kim Sun-a is no stranger to the average Korean household having turned out one box office hit after another over the years. She was the leading lady in 2004’s “S Diaries” and this year’s “She’s on Duty.”

Kim Sun-a’s delivery of the ever optimistic, 30-year-old single Sam-soon in one of 2005’s biggest prime time hits “My Lovely Samsoon” did more than delight viewers. It is being credited with empowering South Korean women.
